Two years at Atlantic College in Wales, followed by a gap year, ignited Tannis' passion for international learning and experience. After obtaining degrees abroad from Cambridge University and the University of Chicago, Tannis worked in eight different countries as a consultant in the areas of international development, tourism and the environment for government, non-profit and NGO/INGO clients.

Tannis co-founded Verge Magazine and the Go Global Expo in 2002. She has managed most areas of the organization, and her work has taken her to all seven continents. Tannis is constantly impressed and inspired by the global community of travellers and learners who work towards making the world a better place, and is always honoured when they choose Verge to be part of their community.

Visit the Real Australia and Get Paid Doing it!

Visitoz was founded in 1991 and since then thousands of young people from all over the world have been to Springbrook Farm to learn the basics of Australian agriculture and had guaranteed jobs for the whole of their visa. These jobs also qualify for the second visa. There are also jobs available in tourism, hospitality, teaching, nursing, construction and almost anything else that can be done in a rural area! The programme includes four days of jetlag recovery with sun, sand, sea and surf, followed by five days of farm and safety training. Andréanne Martel

Andréanne Martel is a Collaborative research Program Officer at the Canadian Council for International Co-operation (CCIC) in Ottawa. Prior to joining CCIC, she held a Research Award position in the Policy and Evaluation division at the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), where she conducted research on access to justice for survivors of violence in India. Andréanne was the coordinator of a research centre on international co-operation at UQAM. In recent years, she has worked as a consultant for several humanitarian organizations, including the Red Cross and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), to evaluate their reconstruction program in Haiti following the January 2010 earthquake. Andréanne has also worked as a volunteer in West Africa and South Asia.

Elle a également été coopérante volontaire en Afrique de l’Ouest et dans la région de l’Océan Indien.
